Welcome to our bilingual daycare! A loving and professional environment where we’ll happily look after your little ones.

The goal of abc-Schools is to not only get your child a fresh, bilingual start to their lives, but also to give them a second home. Going anywhere outside of your home can be a difficult experience for any person of any age, and we want your children to feel comfortable and This is why we’ve adapted to the Reggio-Emilia approach.

Up to twice a day, we endeavour to go outside into the fresh air, engage our curiosity in the forest, or visit our playground. We also occasionally go on excursions which you’ll be informed about beforehand.

Once they’re of age, your bundle of joy will be transitioned into our Kindergarten. Read on to find out more!

From the age of three, the children can switch to abc-School’s private kindergarten. It offers the children excellent preparation for both our private primary school, but also the public Swiss primary school.

Using our private curriculum, thestudents are prepared for primary school in language, mathematics, swimming, physical education, and a weekly forest trip. We also develop their socio-emotional skills so that they’re able to accurately communicate with anyone, using our English & German-fluent teachers. Our classes consist of up to seventeen children to maintain a small, intimate setting for the children. Daily meals are also provided for lunch and the morning snack which are included in the price.

This privately made curriculum comes from our school director which consists of elements from the International Baccalaureate Program, the NSW Australian Curriculum, an American Syllabus, and of course, Lehrplan 21.

Every day, the students in our care receive lessons in both German and English. Our teachers divide up the time so that each child gets an engaging activity in each language throughout the day.

We offer the kindergarten as a full-time program, with a minimum of three and a half days in the first year and a minimum of four days in their second year.

Kindergarten is openfive days a week and is only closed for five weeks in the year. In the remaining weeks which would typically be a school holiday, for no extra cost, we offer the children exciting camp weeks! These weeks are completely optional and are there at your convenience.

Our English Group service is from 12:00 – 18:00 and offers a bilingual experience for all young children.

We provide lunch as soon as the children around and spend up to six hours learning and playing together in both English and German.
One of these hours is spent outside in the fresh air at our playground, the local forest, or going on an excursion.

Our lunch and afternoon snack service are included in the price.

Opening hours are: 12:00 – 18:00

If you need, we also offer a pick-up service in which our driver can take your child to and from home at a time convenient to you.

Here at Abc-Schools, our goal is to raise happy, social, risk-taking children. In order to do this, we have chosen to expand our services to also offer primary school!

Beginning in mid-2024, we are happy to announce that we will be opening our school to children aged six to seven for our grade one service! In 2025, we will also be offering grade two. Likewise, in 2026, we will also be offering grade three. Like the kindergarten, we will be open from 7:30 – 18:15.

Our curriculum will again be designed by our director who will oversee the development of the children as time goes on. We will be constantly implementing effective and reliable changes when necessary for the betterment of the students in our care. It will be a direct continuation of the work they’ve learned in the daycare and kindergarten.

We will still maintain a small-size classroom of up to seventeen children and have fluent English and German teachers available at all times.

The classes we offer are: English, German, Spanish, mathematics, social studies, science, art, music, computer studies (IT), swimming as well as an optional “Adventure Afternoon” which will consist of sport and forest adventures of a Wednesday afternoon. All of which are included in the original price.

We look forward to also offering our “Parent Drop-Off Zone” which will be there for all parents to mingle, make a coffee, and use our fridge. It will be next to our grade one and grade two classes.
